Takes about five minutes, and we've covered the things that usually trip people up.\n\n## Before you start\n\n- Your full Intellihost email address (e.g. `you@yourbusiness.co.za`)\n- Your mailbox password — if you're not sure, we can reset it for you\n- An iPhone on Wi-Fi or mobile data\n\n## Adding the account\n\n1. **Open Settings → Mail → Accounts**\n\n   On your iPhone, go to **Settings**, scroll down to **Mail**, then tap **Accounts**.\n\n2. **Add Account → Other**\n\n   Tap **Add Account**, then choose **Other** at the bottom of the list, then **Add Mail Account**.\n\n3. **Enter your details**\n\n   Fill in your name, your full email address, your password, and a description (like \"Work Email\"). Tap **Next**.\n\n4. **Choose IMAP**\n\n   iPhone will try to verify automatically — if it asks, choose **IMAP** at the top of the screen. Then enter the server details below for both the incoming and outgoing mail sections.\n\n5. **Save**\n\n   Tap **Save**. Give it a minute to verify — your mail should start arriving shortly after.\n\n## Server settings\n\n| Setting | Value |\n|---|---|\n| Incoming mail server (IMAP) | `mail.domain.co.za` |\n| Incoming port | 993 · SSL\u002FTLS |\n| Outgoing mail server (SMTP) | `mail.domain.co.za` |\n| Outgoing port | 587 · STARTTLS or Auto |\n| Username | your full email address |\n| Authentication | required — same as incoming |\n\nUse the same username and password for both incoming and outgoing — iPhone sometimes asks twice.\n\n> **If it hangs on \"Verifying\" for a minute, that's normal.** iPhone is checking the connection before it finishes setup. Only worry if it comes back with an error.\n\n## What could go wrong — and how to fix it\n\n**\"Cannot Get Mail\" or a verification error**\nAlmost always one of two things: the password wasn't typed correctly (autocapitalise loves to catch the first letter), or SSL wasn't switched on for one of the servers.\n- Double-check the password — try typing it in Notes first, then copy it across\n- Check the server names for typos — `mail.domain.co.za` and `mail.domain.co.za`, no extra spaces\n- Make sure SSL is switched on for both incoming and outgoing\n\n**Mail arrives, but you can't send**\nThis is almost always the outgoing (SMTP) server missing its own password. iPhone sometimes saves it separately from the incoming one.\n- Go to **Settings → Mail → Accounts**, tap your account, then **SMTP** under Outgoing Mail Server\n- Tap the primary server and make sure **Use SSL** is on, port is **587**, and the password field isn't blank\n\n**Password won't be accepted, even though it's correct**\nIf you've reset the password recently, it can take a few minutes to update everywhere.
