In May 2025, SentinelOne, a leader in autonomous cybersecurity, announced a strategic investment in Theom.ai through its $100 million S Ventures fund. This move underscores SentinelOne’s commitment to pioneering data security solutions tailored for the AI era.

Theom.ai has developed an AI-native Data Operations Center (DOC) platform designed to govern and protect sensitive enterprise data across various environments, including applications, cloud infrastructure, and AI models. By embedding governance and security directly within enterprise data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, and Azure, Theom provides continuous observability and control over data access and usage.

Rob Salvagno, SVP of Corporate Development and Head of S Ventures at SentinelOne, stated, “We believe Theom is poised to create a fundamentally new category in data. Theom isn’t just improving data security—it’s reimagining it.”

Theom’s platform addresses the challenges of data governance in dynamic environments where data flows across AI models, third-party applications, and distributed teams. Its capabilities include real-time tracking of data movement, AI-driven risk prioritization, and proactive policy enforcement to prevent breaches before they occur.

The investment from SentinelOne, alongside contributions from Wing VC, Snowflake Ventures, and Databricks Ventures, will enable Theom to accelerate product development, scale go-to-market operations, and expand its team to meet the growing demand for AI-driven data governance solutions.
